Korina graduated in 2018 from MA: Movement Directing and Teaching in the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama with a scholarship from Onassis Foundation. She has a BA in Theatre Studies at National & Kapodistrian University of Athens (2014) and the Diplome de Professeur de Barre Astie (2015), from the Association Barre Astie in Lyon. She trained as a dancer and dance teacher in the Higher Professional Dance School Niki Kontaxaki (2010).
She has participated as a dancer in many performances for S.I.S.X.E annual Dancing Charity Gala, in video-dances for the Athens Video Dance Project, in PK theatre Dance Festival in Athens with contemporary dance group “Carmina” and at the Lighting Ceremonies of the Olympic Flame.
Since 2014, Korina has worked as a choreographer and movement director in several productions in Athens such the operas Hedda Gabler (Greek National Opera, direction R. Tsakirides), The Shell Game and Trouble in Tahiti, (The Medium Project), Karagatsis Yungerman, Ibsen’s Wild duck, Checkov’s Three Sisters, Karagatsis Chimaera (Poreia Theatre, direction D. Tarlow) ,Dimitriadis Therismos, Karagatsis Kotzambasis tou Kastropyrgou (Greek National Theatre, direction D. Tarlow).
In London she worked as an assistant of movement for David Glass at East15, with the director Simona Gonella in MA Lab Devising Workshop at RADA, as an assistant movement director of Fran Mangiacasale with the director Polly Graham (Dido & Aeneas) at Blackheath Opera, with the director Anna Poole in Oxford Drama School and as a dancer for the R&D Weimar Repertoire with Simon Mc Burney and Leah Hausman.
In July of 2019 she directed and choreographed the Opera Apollo’s Mission of Edward Lambert for the Music Troupe at Tete a Tete Opera Festival. In December 2019 she directed and choreographed her first complete work Heliotopia, a devised dance- theatre piece at Poreia Theatre in Athens and for Nordic Fringe Festival in Finland.
In 2020 during the pandemic with JEUDi and in collaboration with the Music Troupe and the film director Adrian Ardelean they created the opera-film "Last Party on Earth" which will be released soon.
In 2020-21 as JEUDi they are in development of a new piece called ROBA which is a physical exploration of neurological phenomena that follow Parkinson's and Dementia.
